Monitoring service level statement

What our monitoring service commits to, in plain language. The binding version is your Be Watch Care service agreement.

What monitoring is

Be Watch monitoring places a trained operator on the other end of every event your system raises during the hours you have chosen. Operators do not watch cameras continuously. They respond to events, verify them on live video and act according to the response plan agreed with you.

Verification

Every alarm or AI event on a monitored system is checked against live and recorded video before anyone is escalated. The purpose is to act quickly on real events and to avoid false callouts. Where video is unavailable, for example because a camera is offline, the operator escalates according to your plan and the offline camera is reported.

Escalation

Your response plan lists the people to contact, in order, and the circumstances in which police or a guard service are dispatched. Operators follow that plan. Deterrence such as lighting, siren or live voice through an on-site speaker is used where you have chosen it.

Reporting

Every escalated event produces an incident report containing the footage, the timeline and the actions taken. System health events, such as a camera offline or a recorder fault, are reported to you and to our support team.

Response targets

The time targets for operator acknowledgement, verification and escalation are stated in your service agreement, because they depend on the plan you choose and the equipment on site. We do not publish a single number on a web page and call it a guarantee.

What monitoring does not do

Monitoring cannot physically prevent an intrusion, cannot guarantee a police response time, and depends on your system, your internet or mobile connection and your response plan being current. Keep your keyholder list up to date and tell us when the site changes.

Privacy

Operators see footage only when an event is raised, and every viewing is logged. Footage is never used for any purpose other than responding to the event and producing the report.
