What people ask about Home Security
Do I need monitoring, or is the app enough?
For many homes the app is enough: you get alerts and can see live footage. Monitoring matters when you travel, sleep heavily, or want someone to act if you cannot. Our monitoring team verifies the footage and escalates, which also stops false police callouts.
Can you use the cameras I already have?
Often, yes. Most IP cameras can be brought into the Be Watch system. We will tell you honestly which are worth keeping and which will not support AI detection.
Will this work if my internet drops?
Cameras keep recording locally and the alarm keeps working. Alerts and remote viewing resume when the connection returns. For monitored homes we can add a mobile backup so the monitoring link never depends on your broadband.
Is my footage private?
Yes. Footage is stored on your own recorder or in your own cloud account and is only viewed by our monitoring team when an alarm event is triggered on a monitored system. We never sell data and we explain exactly where footage lives before you sign.
