Who we are

Be Watch is a solution of Be Digital Limited, a New Zealand company. We are the agency for the purposes of the Privacy Act 2020 in respect of the personal information described in this policy. Questions about privacy can be sent to the contact details at the end of this page.

Information we collect on this website

When you request an assessment or contact us we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company, the property type, the needs you select, the number of sites, an approximate staff count and any message you write. We record the page you sent it from, the time, and your IP address to prevent abuse of the form.

We use analytics to understand how the site is used. Where analytics are enabled, they are configured to anonymise IP addresses and are not used to identify you.

How we use it

We use your enquiry to arrange your assessment, to respond to you and to prepare a proposal. We do not add you to marketing lists without asking, and we never sell or rent personal information.

How long we keep enquiries

Website enquiries are kept for 24 months and then deleted automatically. This deletion is enforced by a scheduled process on our website, not by good intentions. Information that becomes part of a customer relationship is kept for as long as that relationship and our legal obligations require.

Information in the services we provide

Be Watch systems record video, access events and attendance data on behalf of our customers. In those systems the customer is the agency that controls the information and we act as their service provider. We access footage and event data only to provide monitoring, support and maintenance, every access is logged, and we do not use customer data for any other purpose.

Biometric information, such as facial or fingerprint templates used for access or attendance, is sensitive. We deploy it only with a privacy assessment, with notice to the people enrolled, with an alternative credential available, and with templates stored encrypted rather than as images.

Where information is held

Website enquiries are held in our website's database with our hosting provider. Video and event data for monitored customers is held on equipment at the customer's premises and, for cloud clips, with the cloud providers named in the customer's service agreement.

Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected. Contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

This website uses only the cookies needed for it to work and, where enabled, analytics cookies. It does not use advertising cookies.
